Nanovest is a digital asset market that gives users access to overseas stock and cryptocurrency trading.

Product Designer
As the product designer, I took the entire ownership and responsibility of this project to run it from initial discovery state to the final concept. Together with PM, we managed to identify and frame the problems that were needed to define the key feature of this project.

Kickoff in end of July 2023.

Design a product that allows users to lock their IDDR coins for a specific period to earn yield.

Background
Management has a clear expectation to create a product that provides a new use case for IDDR coin by allowing users to lock their IDDR coin to earn yield.

Objective
Ensure that users are familiar with the flow, even if we have to process every transaction on the chain.

A very tight deadline and management expectations that have already been jumped into the solution about how the product will look like a fiat time deposit.

• To achieve management expectation of how the product will look like, I conducted competitor research of fiat time deposit to identify user habits and behaviors.
• The research focused on understanding the existing services. I compared the overall user experience to that of direct and indirect competitor apps.

Similar product, similar behavior.
A time deposit always has a similar process: first, selecting the lock period with the yield percentage, then inputting the lock amount so the app can generate the estimated value of the yield.

Familiar behavior
This implementation enables familiar flows and prevents users from getting confused about what is happening on the chain.

Different look
We intentionally used an interface that had key similarities and applied our brand guidelines to the user interface (UI).

We achieved to add new use case of IDDR coin for user to lock in certain period to gain yield with a familiar user experience even though this lock transaction is on chain.

I’ve learned that inspiration can emerge from almost anywhere. What might seem unrelated at first can reveal valuable insights when viewed from the right perspective. By staying open and flexible, I can find unexpected connections that enhance my creative process and strengthen my approach to problem-solving.
